[This is a backlog for a previous trading transaction. It may not fully represent my thinking at the time of the trading.]
I sold my 100 shares of MTG today at $43.10, claiming a small profit of 9% or $338. The ARR is impressive for this roundtrip: 315% because I only hold this issue for less than a month.
After my purchase of MTG, the stock briefly touched high of $47 before declining to $43. The main reason is I feel lack of safety because I found it is hard to understand the business (I tried).
Another driver for my sale is I would like to commit a capital gain and see how my tax advisor - free benefit in my relocation package, but this year only - handles the short-term capital gain in MTG and long-term capital loss in MSFT.
