Forbes Annual Love-Only-One Stock List



Forbes announced its annual Love-Only-One stock-picking list:

Longs:

Eresearch Technology (ERES)
Bank of America (BAC)
Liberty Media (L)
Viacom (VIA)
Aventis (AVE)
Cross Country Healthcare (CCRN)
InterActiveCorp (IACI)
Dassault Systemes (DASTY)
Alexander & Baldwin (ALEX)
Pfizer (PFE)
Pearson (PSO)
CNF (CNF)

Short-Sellers:

Bradley Pharmaceuticals (BDY)
Reserach in Motion (RIMM)
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
Teco Energy (TE)
Scientific-Atlanta (SFA)

"Love One Stock" is more a contest. Every year, only stock pickers whose pick fares better than S&P 500 will continue in the following year. Among this year's list, only one contestant (Richard Cripps from Legg Mason) is in its fifth year (his pick is Bank of America, BAC). Another two competitors made their respective fourth year: Jean-Marie Eveillard from First Eagle Funds (whose pick is Liberty Media, L) and Thyra Zerhusen from ABN Amro Mid Cap Fund(whose pick is Pearson, PSO).
