This August 11 Forbes article discussed some funds that can be used to bet against bonds. Two of the funds:
Rydex Juno Fund (RYJUX)
- 100% inverse relation to long bond
- expense ratio: 1.41%
- minimal investment: $25,000
- total assets: $420m
ProFunds Rising Rates Opportunity Fund (RRPIX, RRPSX)
- leveraged, 125% inverse relation to long bond
- expense ratio: 1.94% for RRPIX, 2.94% for RRPSX
- minimal investment: $15,000 for RRPIX, $5,000 for RRPSX
- total assets: $194m
I don't have plan to short bonds now and fairly speaking I'm not sure which direction the rate will go in the short run. However, it's nice to learn where to go when I want to short.
