The 9th Card

Today I received an approved American Express CostCo Cash Rebate Card of a credit limit of $3,000. Earlier this week I also received an MBNA-issued Fidelity Investment Rewards card with a credit limit of $5,000 and 1.5% cash back.

So far I have 9 credit cards in my pocket now with a total credit line of $36,200.

Normally, I would question why anyone would need 9 credit cards. But from reading your posts and articles, I'm assuming you're putting all these credit cards to good use (i.e. gaining rewards and bonuses).

Although having 9 open lines of credit may negatively affect your credit score, it can easily be fixed by dropping some of those cards. So if you're not worried about a perfect credit score right now, why not take advantage of all these great offers???
