The Eloan monthly credit score delivery put my credit score at 684 for February, a 11 point increase from the last report. The jump is much more than the 5 points increase forecasted in the last report.
Perhaps the most important driver is the number of credit inquiries. By the end of this month, it has been six months since I purchased my home (and incurred a lot of credit inquiries due to mortgage comparison shopping). THe removal of these records definitely helps to boost my score.
The only main restraint of my credit score is now the high balance in the ShareBuilder Visa Platinum card, in which I cheerfully enjoy the 0% APR since October. Looking forward, I decide to pay back majority of the balance in the next 7 days. I am going to make this move because I will start to use this ShareBuilder card as my primary card instead of the MBNA Reward MasterCard. I will accumulated 20,000 point in the MBNA card, sufficient for $200 cash back. In the future, I will appreciate the quick cashback feature of the ShareBuilder card ($25 for every $2,500 spending, credit to my ShareBuilder account within 30 days).
The Eloan credit report predicts that by taking these moves I will be able to move my credit score to 695 next month.
