VirtualBank Referral Deal

As I blogged earlier, I started the process to open an eMoney Market account at VirtualBank to get a few more bucks for my cash pile. Today I finally got access to the account and discovered it has a "Refer A Friend" program.

[2/28/05 Update: VirtualBank recently raised APY to 2.60%! Sorry I have ran out of referrals but if you want to jumpstart your VirtualBank account, please click the banner below to apply.]

http://www.virtualbank.com

For each friend a VirtualBank customer refers, the program will deposit $20 for the customer and his/her friend EACH. No one tells me before that I can make a quick $20 this way :-(

So here is the deal for everyone who reads this post: if you want to open an account at VirtualBank and want to get $20 instantly, give me an email at webmaster@pfblog.com. I can give you a link by which you can entitle yourself to an extra $20. I promise I will reply mail within one business day (unless I am on vacation).

Below is the fine print you should know:

You and your friend will earn $20.00 each if your friend applies for and opens an eMoney Market account with the link provided in the referral email that we send to your friend. This offer will be available to your friend for 30 days after the date you click on the REFER button. Your friend must open a new eMoney Market account and must not be an existing VirtualBank or Lydian Private Bank accountholder. The $20.00 referral gift will be deposited into the account you designate upon the opening of your friend's account but will not be available for withdrawal for 30 days. These funds will be reported as interest on your 1099INT.
