$5 Auto Insurance Premium Break

Safeco just sent me a bill for the auto insurance policy for the next six months. To my surprise, the six-month premium dropped a few dollars from $574.90 to $570.30. It corroborated Fool.com's report that auto insurance price increase has been alleviated.

I have been with Safeco for about a year now and so far I am happy with the company. As my price-check exercise revealed a couple of weeks back, Safeco is charging me at least 25% less than the next top-tier competitor. With my home insurance and umbrella insurance at Safeco too, I hope I don't need to move accounts any tme soon.
