Dear Readers,

I hope you enjoyed PFBlog in December. I did, and I also enjoyed the significant growth in readership: total monthly pageview grew from 23,000 in November to 33,300 in December -- I always love to see my work becomes meaningful. In case you missed some of the highlights in the past month, please use this monthly summary to

December's stories includes three series: First, I was test-driving the new free annual credit report service, now available to 13 western states. My test reports of both Equifax and TransUnion includes some tips to get the most out of this service.

Second, I considered, purchased and have been enjoying my TiVo. Many of you left comments about your TiVo experience, which helped me in the final purchase decision. Thank you!
