A Week's Worth At PFBlog Network #4

Welcome to the week #4 summary of Personal Finance Bloggers' Network. We introduced two new gold channels in week #4:

Free Money Finance is written by FMF, who has tremendous experience managing personal finance and teaching personal finance. Take a look at why you should listen to him.

Reasoned Investing is very much investment-focused. In particular, enjoy the BA's braindump of Jim Cramer's Mad Money. By the way, BA is a portfolio manager that believes in long-term investing.

Our bloggers in the Network added another 40+ posts during the week. Here are my personal recommendations:

Bloggers' Personal Stories

• Nathan took his repair job to the car dealer, and saved.
• Arbee is moving to a better job. Congratulations!
• Jim is struggling in his home-buying trek.

Personal Finance Resources

• A good reading for people who just started to manage personal finance: Five Principles to Increasing Your Net Worth from Free Money Finance.
• Learn the time value of money and more financial planning ratios at All Things Financial.
• A Citi banking customer? Don't forget to claim your points.
• MM analyzed two seemingly related bankruptcy news.

Personal Finance Tips

• Our Canadian capitalist shared his dumbest investment. The lesson: diversify and be willing to sell a hot stock.
• Some more tips from Nathan on how to use paper trading to build your skills.
How to hedge for the rising gas price? Use a gas rebate card and buy some oil stocks.
• Parents want to help out kids buying their first homes? Here are the Dos and Don'ts.
• Jim offered some unorthodox credit card protection tips. Maybe you can borrow an idea or two.
• Does the market freefall cut into your 401(k) and retirement plan? The advice: focus on the long run.

Personal Finance Tabloids

• The upside of costly gas? Pushing more people to public transportation.
• Billionaires do not necessarily live lavishly, but most do ... at least for their multi-million-dollar homes.
• How to pay no tax in Canada? Be appointed as the Governor General of Canada.

Keep visiting us and read more personal finance news every day!
