Eufora(TM) MasterCard®
Eufora(TM) MasterCard® Card is issued by InfiBank N.A., a leading provider of innovative credit card programs. It is innovative because it charges you fees for ordinary credit card features (1.9% intro APR for five months and 9,9% variable rate thereafter). Well, you will earn rewards, not when you charge this card, but only when you refer new members to the card.
Here is a short summary of how it works (details at here):
- You can enroll at one of the three levels, $29.95/year for Associate membership, $59.95/year for Preferred membership, or $99.95/year for Elite membership.
- You earn rewards when you refer new members to the program. For every 10 new Associate members you refer, you can get $200 dollars. Preferred and Elite members can get rewards for referring Preferred members at $500 every 10 new Preferred members, and Elite members can get $900 for every 10 Elite members referred.
- Well, you will only be rewarded when you introduce 10 members. No money will be paid for up to 9 members, although you can carry over the balance to the next year. You will only receive the reward if you continue to be a paying member.
- Eufora will send you marketing materials for free (but shipping and handling applies)
Eufora claims it is not amulti-level marketing (MLM) network or pyramid scheme. It is not, because members only receive referral fees for applicants that they directly refer.
I agree with the non-MLM claim, but I hardly see any value in it. Paying $30 or more every year for credit card features you can literally get anywhere does not sound like a good deal to me in the first place, and the chance to get referral fees is slim unless you are a great salesman that can pursuade ten more people to happily turn in the annual fee for this mediocre product. It is completely a no-go for me.
