How Rich Are You?
Global Rich List is an interesting yet simple web site. It only serves one purpose: telling you how does your annual income stack up among all people in this world.
$50,000 a year makes you the 53,957,565th richest people in the world, or beating 99.1% of other people in the world.
A six figure annual salary of $100,000? You are now the 36,007,565th richest, or the top 0.6% in this world.
Any $150,000? Congratulation for making it the 18,057,565th richest.
The calculation is based on some World Bank publications and statistical assumptions. I believe it is a good estimate for people with normal summary, but unfortunately the output does not look believable when you earn much higher. For example, the site says a man with an annual income of $200,000 is the 107,565th richest in the world. I will say there must be more people earning this number than merely 100,000.
Anyway, just take this with a grain of salt. Check it out and have fun!
