PFBlog all starts with an ambition: accumulating a full million dollars by the age of 40 (year 2016) through hard working and diligent personal finance management.
Since 2003, I have been applying a strict methodology of setting up goals, preparing plan and implementing tactics. The result has been more than satisfactory. I started at about $81,000 in January 2003. Three and a half years into the journey, our family net worth achieved the milestone of $500,000 in August 2006. To reflect the progress, I updated my mission statement in July 2005 to achieve $1 million by the age of 36 (year 2012).
