Suitable Investments For Students?

"You need money to make money"... that's the famous saying isn't it? Well, I have decided to focus on suitable investments for students - assuming that the student does not already have a large amount of assets and is investing in small amounts.

Real Estate - Not really an option these days. Will have to wait a little longer. :)

Stocks - An option, but a tricky one. Requires a lot of skills and time (i don't have) to research and track your stock portfolio. Small investment gains may be eaten up by brokerage fees.

Online Savings Accounts - A definate option, but don't you really want to chase better returns?

Mutual Funds - A set-up and forget style option. Probably the best option for students since the mutual fund manager can spread the money over a variety of assest classes and all the student has to do is invest the money.

Well, any that I have forgot?
