There is a great article here about the need for students to not put all of their focus on investing in their future (through higher education) and manage their finances today. Whilst the article is written with a UK focus, I have to say that I can relate totally to what is written. It is a fine balance between investing in your own future and living for today (whilst trying not to ruin their future with debt that will affect them for the rest of their lives).
