Warren Buffett - Notes from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting
Finally catching up on my backlog of Warren Buffett material:
Matt Stichnoth at Tom Brown's Bankstocks.com has thrown his notes from the Berkshire Hathaway April 30, 2005 annual meeting up on the internet. Buffett spends an incredible amount of time reading. I've read that up to 80% of his day is spent reading; 10-K's and 10-Q's seem to be his essentials. Buffett offered simple but important advice to those in attendance at the annual meeting: Constantly look for opportunities, learn every day, start early and young, and read everything in sight.
Here's the excerpt from Buffett:

There are no secrets to investing that only some select priesthood knows. Successful investing requires a quality of temperament, not a high IQ. You need an IQ of 125, topsanything more than that is wasted. But you do need a certain temperament, and must be able to think for yourself. Then constantly look for opportunities. You can learn every day. You cant act every day, but you can learn every day. Its like any game, if you enjoy playing it, youll do well. But start early, and follow a framework thats been successful.
