Well, here is a little something fun. Today, June 3, is Doughnut Day! If there is a Krispy Kreme store near you, then you are in luck!

It looks like Doughnut Day was established by the Salvation Army to raise money during the Great Depression and honor the volunteers who made doughnuts for the soldiers in World War I.
I never knew that there was such a day. And, it has been in existence since 1938. Wow, all that good doughnuts I have missed over the years! If you go for the free doughnut, dont forget to drop a dollar into the jar.
