I've now spent several hours researching my upcoming Alaskan cruise. If you happen to be planning a similar trip, this post highlights a helpful book from Frommer's...
Alaska offers a vast array of travel experiences. With so many options -- and given that a cruise to Alaska is not a one-size-fits-all proposition -- this guidebook from Frommer's has helped me understand the pros and cons of the various alternatives. (One of the two authors has cruised in Alaskan waters at least once a year since the early 1970s.) Most if not all of the information is available online at www.frommers.com. I still recommend buying the hardcopy guide. Having a table of contents, index and the entire contents at your fingertips makes the job much easier.
