Free Online Energy Stock Analysis

We all hear about high oil and gas prices. Energy stocks have moved up a lot in the last 24 months or so. It's difficult for a layperson to know if the move is over for enery stocks or if there or if there are still values to be had. Fortunately there is a great free resource on the web -

The website I like is www.mcdep.com . There are weekly postings by veteran analyst Kurt Wulff. (He was interviewed in Barron's recently).

He analyzes energy stocks by looking at the market cap + debt per share of a company, and dividing this by the present value of the future cash flows the company can deliver from existing reserves. If a company has a mcdep value less than 1 it may be a good buy, when other qualitative factors are taken into account.

This is a great free resource for all who are interested in investing in energy or just investing in general.
