An Interview With Bill Gates
The other night I caught an interview with Bill Gates on CNBC's "The Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch, and I thought I'd share some of the most interesting tidbits here...
Between 1978 and 1984, Gates supposedly took just six days of vacation.
He's been on the cover of Time magazine on eight different occasions.
When asked who he looks up to the most, Gates didn't even hesitate... It's Warren Buffett, whom Gates referred to as the person that he's learned the most from outside of the technology realm.
When asked about what it feels like to be the richest man in the world, Gates replied: "I wish I wasn't. There's nothing good that comes out of that."
What does Bill carry in his wallet? Actually, he claims that he doesn't carry a wallet around all that often. Maybe he just drives around in a dump truck full of money.
Finally, when asked what he has on his iPod, Gates responded: "I don't have an iPod. A phone is a nice portable device on which to have one's music." And he went on to say that he's sure that "someone" is working on great things in this area... Hmmm... I wonder who that could be?
