NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morgan Stanley Investment Management announced today that the Morgan Stanley China A Share Fund, Inc. (the “Fund�) has completed the pricing of its initial public offering, and will issue 12,201,371 shares at a price of $20 per share for a total of approximately $244,027,420 in assets (before deduction of the sales load and offering expenses and exclusive of the underwriters’ over-allotment). Assuming full exercise of the underwriter’s over-allotment, the amount raised could be increased to approximately $262,329,460 (before deduction of the sales load and offering expenses). The Fund’s shares will begin trading on September 28, 2006 on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “CAF.�

The Fund’s primary investment objective is to seek capital growth. The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets in A-shares of Chinese companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges.
