NBC Showing Little Clout In 'Upfront' Ad Sales

It didn't surprise me. None of my favorite shows is contributed by NBC. I love 24 (Fox), CSI (CBS) and Desperate Housewives (ABC).

From Wall Street Journal:

As of Friday afternoon, the Peacock network was about halfway done with upfront sales, according to a person familiar with the situation. So far it is signing deals with prices flat to down 2%, as measured by the cost for reaching a thousand viewers, this person said. NBC secured about $2.9 billion in ad commitments in last year's upfront round, and volume this year is expected to be noticeably down. NBC's ratings tumbled in the just-completed broadcast season, after losing long-running hits such as "Frasier" and "Friends."
