Plan to win the Lottery
Would you quit your job & purchase a small carribean island if you won the lottery today? Or maybe give it all to charity? Planning to win the lottery can be an important personal finance exercise.
Chuck Jaffe, of CBS MarketWatch, gives his review today of an article he read in a supermarket tabloid that inspired him to create a plan of what actions he would take if he won the lottery today.

North Carolina doesn't have a lottery (yet), but if I hit it rich today, this would be my plan:
- Pay off my house (about $145K left)
- Max out Roth for me & the bride-to-be
- Purchase a place on Topsail Island for me & my parents.
- Split the rest 3 ways between Investments, Savings, and purchasing rural NC farmland.

There are smarter ways of playing the lottery. I would like to point out a very cool program that I am a member of. Basically, you can get paid to play the lottery which is VERY cool.
