What $300,000 Will Buy You In My Town

JLP from AllThingsFinancial unknowingly started a meme observing what $300,000 or so can buy in various locations around the country. Here's what $285,000 will buy you in my town.

It's a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhouse condo, built in 1986. The house includes a living room, dining room, and kitchen, and central air conditioning. The lot size is 0.0721 acre. No square footage is mentioned in the listing, but it can't be much. Would you consider it a good buy?

My New Jersey township is one over from the very high-priced Princeton Township, and the school district in which I live is one of the "best" in the state (West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District). Property taxes are high. I rent, so I deal with these issues only marginally. (The cost is all hidden within the rent.)

There are more pictures of the property if you continue reading. a href="http://www.realtor.com/Prop/1056159916?lnksrc=00045">The listing is here.
