Accounting is Sexy Now

Apparently accounting is sexy. That's good news [AccountingWeb] for a large number of nerds.

Accountants are in high demand due to the many scandals that have emerged in the last few years. Kids entering college have tuned into the need and now accounting is the most popular major for freshmen.

We can all give thanks to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, but be careful; popular career paths tend to wax and wane throughout time.

On the other hand, some people might consider stunt driving as sexier -- and more profitable (in the six figures) -- than accounting. That's the textbook example of "risk vs. reward."
